Ebony Anglers is an award-winning, international professional sportfishing team. We are four professional women who embrace the sport of competitive fishing while balancing family, motherhood, and business.

In partnership with The National Parks Foundation, we provide a one day summer and fall program to teach girls and boys ages 8- 12 how to fish and how to boat! Together, we can impact the fishing industry in a meaningful way that brings value to all!

Fun Fact: You can tell a small king mackerel from a Spanish mackerel by looking at their spotted style! Spanish mackerel have bright yellow spots all along their sides, while young king mackerels don’t have spots, just a clean, silvery body.

Also, if you peek at their first dorsal fin, the Spanish mackerel’s is black at the front, while the king’s is all gray!

From humble beginnings to tremendous growth, our journey has been nothing short of inspiring:

Over 75 - 100 youth served every year, learning fishing fundamentals, life skills, and confidence

Visited 4 national parks, embracing the outdoors and the power of nature

Traveled internationally to Barbados, where we hosted a youth camp and competed in the St. Charles Williams Fishing Tournament hosted by @barbadosgamefishing and @fisheriesdivisionbarbados

Our mission is bigger than the fish we catch, it’s about empowering communities, in outdoor spaces, and showing what’s possible when passion meets purpose.

Day One of the Carteret County Spanish Mackerel Tournament is in the books!

We were the first team to hit the scales and proudly landed on the leaderboard right out the gate! 🙌🏾 With Captain Champ at the helm of his boat, Doggie Paddle, we had an incredible day on the water — catching 3 King Mackerel and 2 Spanish mackerel.

We weighed the 2 Spanish Mackerel for the Aggregate Category.

Youth Outdoor Leadership Program

The Youth Outdoor Leadership Program introduces young participants to the
dynamic world of fishing and boating as outdoor sporting lifestyles. The program is designed to:

Develop an appreciation, skill, and confidence in fishing, boating, and outdoor
recreation.

Provide hands-on education in the fundamentals of fishing and boating, both as
competitive sports and lifelong leisure pursuits.

Empower youth with practical life skills that promote self-sufficiency, personal
discipline, physical and intellectual fortitude, and strong leadership values.

Through mentorship, education, and outdoor experiences, participants gain not only technical
knowledge but also the character, confidence, and resilience to succeed in all areas of life.
