Fishing FUNdamentals!

This is an outdoor event at Falls Lake for 30 participants ages 8 – 12.

Schedule and topics will include:

10 am - Children arrive, Check-in, Eat Breakfast

Opening/Welcome

Begin Learning Stations: Tying Knots, Baiting Hooks, Parts of the Rod, Casting

Fishing

Lunch, Review, Feedback Survey

3 pm - Pickup

Day 2

August 13, 2023

On Water Boating Event

This is an outdoor, on-water boating event at Falls Lake for 30 participants ages 8 – 12. Topics will include:

Boat Safety
Parts of the Boat
Types of Boat Fishing: Kite-fishing, Trolling, Bottom fishing, Reading sonars and compass
Boat Driving Lessons
More Shore Fishing!

Drop-off time is 10:00 am and Pickup is 3:00 pm.

This program is a 2-day program. The cost for the program has been funded by a grant provided by the National Parks Foundation.

To be eligible for participation, your child must commit to being present for both event days: Saturday, August 12, 2023, and Sunday, August 13, 2022.

Space is limited. Registration will close on July 14, 2023 and selected participants will be notified by July 19, 2023.

If your child is selected you will receive an email confirmation with further instructions and action items to secure their registration.
