This is an outdoor event at Falls Lake in Durham, NC for 25 participants ages
8 – 12. Topics will include:

Check in, breakfast and snacks

Fishing Learning Stations: Tying Knots, Baiting Hooks, Parts of the Rod, and Casting

Lunch

Lake shore and Pier Fishing

Review, Photos and Games
Part 2!
On Water Boating Event
This is an outdoor, on-water boating event at Falls Lake for 25 participants ages 8 – 12. Topics will include:

Boat Safety
-
Parts of the Boat
-
Types of Boat Fishing: Kite-fishing, Trolling, Bottom fishing, Reading sonars and compass
-
Boat Driving Lessons
-
More Shore Fishing!
Drop-off time is 9:30 am and Pickup is 3:00 pm.
This program is a 1-day program. The cost for the program has been funded by a grant provided by the National Parks Foundation.
To be eligible for participation, your child must be a first time camper (previous participants will be able to join us for the Legacy Camp...details to come).
Space is limited. Registration will close on June 30th or until all spots are filled and selected participants will be notified by July 10th.
If your child is selected you will receive an email confirmation with further instructions and action items to secure their registration.
